Journley is a language learning platform designed to overcome the challenges that come with actually *using* the language you're trying to learn. For example:

• Not practicing what is relevant to *your* daily life
• More comfortable reading and writing than speaking and listening
• Too easy to default back to more fluent languages with practice partners

It's intended to be immersive, well-rounded, and relevant to *you* language practice.

You're the hero of your language learning journey - complete with bruises, uncertainty, heroic attempts, triumph, and ultimately a zillion points for Gryffindor. *check notes* Scratch that last part. But, if the hero (you) gets stuck, like Fawkes the phoenix from Harry Potter or a vigilant lifeguard, Journley will try to offer just enough help to get you back on track and conversing.

The ultimate goal for learning language is to connect with other people. There's a time and a place for formal, structured lessons or AI tutoring but Journley will always prioritize experiences that are Real, with other Humans, and result in meaningful Connection.
